The Eastern Idaho Railroad (EIRR) operates several tracks in the eastern portion of the county near Rigby and Ririe. The EIRR carries a wide variety of products annually and the County believes its presence provides signicant opportunity for economic growth.5Major Interstates/Highways I-15Interstate 15 connects the County to Idaho Falls and Pocatello in the south and Butte, MT to the north. US-20U.S. Highway 20 links the County with Idaho Falls to the southwest and West Yellowstone, MT and other areas northeast. SH-33State Highway 33 runs east-west through the northwestern part of the County.Road and Bridge SystemJeerson Countys Public Works Department is responsible for the maintenance and construction of approximately 744 miles of County roads, which include 447 miles of hard surface, 284 miles of gravel, and 13 miles of unimproved roads.
