Idaho Northern & Paci\x1dc Railroad Company (INPR)a 120-mile property composed of two former Union Pacic Railroad branch lines operating in southwestern Idaho and northeastern Oregon. The INPR serves and switches customers in Southwestern Idaho. Shipments are predominately forest products, agricultural products and chemicals.5Major Interstates/Highways I-84 is a major Interstate Highway that traverses Idaho from the Oregon line in the northwest to Utah in the southeast; it runs through both Caldwell and Nampa and then through Boise to the east. US-20/US-26 runs from the Oregon state line in the northwest to Boise in the east. US-95 runs north-south through the western edge of the county.Road and Bridge SystemThe responsibility for maintenance, operational improvements and capacity expansion of local roadways resides with four rural highway districts and eight cities in Canyon County. Two types of roadways exist in Canyon County: public roadways that are publicly owned but may or may not be publicly maintained. Private roadways are privately owned and a private maintenance responsibility.
