Union Pacic Railroad now operates the rail line that runs south along Highway 91 through the county. This rail corridor is a major avenue for the movement of freight and the rail company retains a large rail yard and land holdings within Pocatello.5Major Interstates/Highways I-86 begins at an intersection with I-15 in Pocatello and runs west to an intersection with I-84 east of Declo and serves as a major east-west transportation route along the southern part of the state. I-15 is the primary northsouth highway of Eastern Idaho. The Interstate Highway connects Pocatello and Idaho Falls, and the smaller county seats of Malad City, Blackfoot, and Dubois.
