SH-55 (Payette River Scenic Byway) is a 2-3 land road that runs north-south from Boise to New Meadows.Road and Bridge SystemThe Boise County Road and Bridge Department is responsible for the maintenance, or construction, of 289 miles of roads. Road funds come largely from state and federal sources augmented by timber revenues paid by Boise National Forest.
