The laboratory enables discovery in energy and security by cultivating positive relationships to build partnerships with researchers, academia, industry, planners and other stakeholders. Hosting Summer Faculty The Center for Advanced Energy Studies (CAES) Summer Visiting Faculty Program fosters networking between university faculty and INL researchers with the goal of developing joint-funded research proposals of value to both parties. In 2019, the programs first full year, 18 proposals were submitted in the following CAES focus areas: nuclear energy; energy-water nexus; cybersecurity; advanced manufacturing; innovative energy systems; energy policy; and computing, data, and visualization. The ultimate goal of the program is to build a sustainable ecosystem of research collaboration as outlined in the CAES strategic plan. 28'
